This social studies unit is perfect for my kindergartner. It is set up for quick easy lessons, includes a book list and a way to add to each lessons. There are also snack and craft ideas. I didn’t even add art for this year or a list of read aloud since both are included in these lesson plans. This would also be great for older elementary age kids to learn more about roads and work on memorizing their address.

My 5 year old loved this unit and she learned so much! I honestly thought this would just be a good introduction into geography and she’d have fun but not really retain much but I was so wrong! She learned and retained so much about where she lives. She now knows her own address and important phone numbers which will be great in an emergency. We discovered her love of space when we covered our planet so we are doing Me and My Place in Space now! The books and activities were so good and my daughter looked forward to these lessons. Even my 2 year old participated and had fun!
